Bitam Opens Solutions Factory in Guadalajara
Rapid Growth of Clients in the Region Cited for Expansion

Guadalajara, Mx & Atlanta, GA – May 2008. Bitam, a Software 500 Company and global provider of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions, including Business Intelligence (BI), Financial Planning, and Strategic Planning, announces the opening of a new solutions factory in Guadalajara, Mexico. Bitam will provide project development, consulting, and professional services for US, Latin American and European clients from this location. Manuel Lopez, Chief Operations Officer (COO) of Bitam, will manage the office.

The initiative of developing nearshore services started last year, and continues to grow as more US companies choose Bitam solutions. With an initial investment of several million dollars, the Bitam Data Mart Factory in Guadalajara opened. Since this city is considered the “Silicon Valley” of Mexico, boasting numerous universities and academic institutions, which graduate many professionals in the information technology (IT) space, Bitam was located close by to draw from these resources.

Mr. Lopez has been COO and head of Professional Services at Bitam since November 2007. He has 15 years of experience in managing complex BI and Enterprise Performance Management projects in various industries, including retail, consumer packaged goods (CPG), government, financial, manufacturing, and distribution. He believes that, just like the Bitam Data Mart Factory located in Tampico, Mexico, since 2000, this new factory will have an outstanding track record of revenue growth over the next two years.

The Bitam team based in Guadalajara consists of Project Managers, Project Leaders, Solution Architects, Technical and Business Consultants, and specialist of multiple platforms. The team will provide comprehensive project plans that cover planning, user requirements analysis, solution design and installation, implementation, and documentation for every key phase of a project.
