Bitam, Inc. (the “Company”) is a leading Enterprise Performance Management solution provider that offers Business Intelligence, Financial Planning and Strategic Planning software. Software is sold through direct sales, channel partners and through a software as a service model. Through the software as a service model, the Company will receive and store business data from other organizations. This is often referred to as “hosting” data. Data privacy is vital and is a top priority within the Company and thus this policy has been created to govern procedures and policies in place to protect your privacy.
The Company and its affiliated United States subsidiary comply and adhere to the Safe Harbor Agreement concerning the transfer of personal data from the European Union (EU) to the United States of America.
Data Principles
- Data Ownership
All data that is transferred to the Company under the software as a service arrangement remains under the sole ownership of the organization transferring the data. Although Bitam, Inc. is responsible for the proper storage and security of the data, ownership of the data does not belong to Bitam, Inc.
- Data Modifications
Neither Bitam Inc. nor the employees of the Company are authorized to make modifications to the data that is sent to the Company. All requests for data modifications or updates will be forwarded to the organization with ownership of the data.
- Third party data disclosure
Bitam, Inc. will not disclose to a third party any data that is stored at the Bitam, Inc. data center without receiving prior written authorization from data owner, unless required to do so by appropriate law enforcement or governmental authority.
- Data Protection
Bitam, Inc. will take reasonable steps to ensure the protection of all data from loss, misuse and unauthorized access. Company cannot guarantee the security of information on or transmitted via the Internet.
- Personable Information – Data received from a client of Bitam
Clients of Bitam are authorized to send business data to Bitam through the software as a service arrangement. Through this means, at times, the Company may be in possession of personable information. All personable data stored by Bitam is considered to be collected and authorized by an individual through the discretion of the data owner.
- Personable Information – Data requested by Bitam
Bitam, Inc. may request personable information, such as name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and other similar information for business related use. This information will only be collected through lawful means. Business related use of personable information may be collected for registration access to a Bitam service, event registration (such as webinar, tradeshow), whitepaper request, etc. or to respond to requests you make of us. This list is not meant to be all-inclusive and will change and evolve over time.
Neither Bitam Inc. nor the employees of the Company are authorized to act as a third party and collect personable information on an individual.

Safe Harbor Privacy Statement
For personal information subject to European Union (EU) data protection laws that we receive from the EU, Bitam is committed to protecting and handling data in accordance with the Safe Harbor principles. Information regarding the Safe Harbor Principles can be found at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s website www.export.gov/safeharbor.
Customer data, including personable information, may be stored in the United States and any other country where BITAM or its affiliates, subsidiaries or agents o agents have facilities. By sending your information you grant consent to any data transfer of this type out of your country.
Marketing
For marketing purposes, the Company may send marketing emails and messages to those individuals who have provided their contact information to Bitam. Additionally, Bitam may at times choose to participate in the rental or purchase of marketing lists from third parties. In some instances, Bitam may send relevant and business related offers from reputable third party businesses. In all cases, all promotional and marketing messages received from us will include an option to opt out of future email communications.
Future Amendments
This privacy policy is open to future amendments based on Bitam services and the requirements of the Safe Harbor. All revisions will be posted publicly on the Bitam website.
