Applica Consumer Products, Inc.

Applica Incorporated is a producer and wholesale of a wide range of small appliances; such as, outdoor tools, cleaning products, kitchen appliances and garment care products. Through its operating subsidiary, Applica Consumer Products, Inc., Applica markets products under licensed brand names, Black & Decker; company-owned brand names such as Windmere, Littermaid, Belson and private label brand names, primarily in North America, Latin America and the Caribbean.

In June 1998, Applica acquired Black & Decker's Household Products division, which designs small kitchen and garment care appliances under Black & Decker licenses and markets these products to retailers and distributors in North America and Latin America. As part of the acquisition, the Company also purchased sub-brands including Toast-R-Oven™, ProFinish™ and Quick'N Easy™.

Today, Applica, with Black & Decker's branded products, holds a leadership of market position in several product categories, including toaster ovens and irons.

A tool that provided decision makers with an interface from which to observe the information from different regions, and countries and which also allowed them to build their own views and scenarios. Applica spent several days integrating and consolidating business information from different regions of many countries into brief reports. Therefore, , executives had non-current information for making critical decisions	The main concern of Applica was to provide its key decision makers with an intuitive and easy-to-use interface with consolidated information in summarized dashboards and the end users can perform multidimensional analysis of their information. BITAM’s Artus product was chosen because it met specific requirements including short-term implementation and end-user training process.	Today, they are in the process of implementing sales and a financial model, and for the next months they will implement business solutions for logistics and marketing areas. Applica expects to deliver BITAM solution quickly because they estimate their end users will be familiar with Artus interface in a few days.
